How to Use Analytics to Grow Your Business
Data without action is just noise. 1Mint Club's analytics dashboard transforms your raw customer data into clear, actionable insights that help you make smarter business decisions. Whether you want to understand customer growth trends, measure campaign effectiveness, or identify engagement patterns, it's all here.
This guide walks you through every section of the analytics dashboard, explains what each metric means, and shows you how to use timeframe comparisons to spot trends and opportunities.
Before You Start
- An active 1Mint Club partner account
- Some customer activity to generate meaningful data (offers redeemed, campaigns sent)
- Growth or Scale plan for campaign analytics (Overview is available on all plans)
Navigate to Analytics
Open the Analytics page
Click "Analytics" in your dashboard sidebar. The page opens to the Overview tab by default, showing your key metrics and charts. If you have a Growth or Scale plan, you'll also see a "Campaigns" tab for detailed campaign performance data.
Understand Overview Metrics
Total Customers
This card shows the total number of customers in your database. It's your raw audience size — every customer you've added, imported, or who has engaged with your offers. Watch this number grow over time as your marketing efforts bring in new contacts.
Active Customers
Active customers are those who have engaged with your business within the selected timeframe. This is a crucial health metric — a growing total with declining active customers suggests you're acquiring but not retaining. Aim for your active percentage to stay above 30%.
If your active customer rate drops below 20%, it's time for a re-engagement campaign. Target inactive customers with an exclusive "we miss you" offer to bring them back.
Total Offers and Engagement Rate
"Total Offers" shows how many offers you've created, while "Engagement Rate" measures the percentage of customers who have interacted with your offers or campaigns. A healthy engagement rate varies by industry, but 15–25% is a solid benchmark for local businesses.
Read Your Charts
Customer Growth chart
The line chart shows how your customer base has grown over the selected timeframe. Look for trends: steady growth is healthy, sudden spikes might correlate with successful campaigns or events, and plateaus indicate it's time to try new acquisition strategies.
Engagement chart
The bar chart visualizes customer engagement over time — how many customers interacted with your offers and campaigns in each period. Compare this with your customer growth chart: if customers are growing but engagement is flat, you may need more compelling offers or better-targeted campaigns.
Overlay your campaign send dates with the engagement chart mentally. You should see engagement spikes shortly after campaign sends. If not, your content or targeting might need adjustment.
Use Timeframe Filters
Switch between timeframes
Use the timeframe selector to view data for the last 7 days, 30 days, or 90 days. Each timeframe tells a different story: 7 days shows immediate impact (great after a campaign), 30 days reveals monthly patterns, and 90 days exposes long-term trends.
Check 7-day analytics right after sending a campaign to measure immediate impact. Use 90-day views for strategic planning and board/investor updates.
Compare periods to spot trends
Regularly switch between timeframes to compare performance. Are you doing better this month than last? Is engagement trending up or down? These comparisons are more valuable than any single snapshot because they reveal direction and momentum.
Dive into Campaign Analytics
Switch to the Campaigns tab
Click the "Campaigns" tab to access detailed campaign performance data. This tab is available on Growth and Scale plans and provides granular insights into how each campaign performed.
Review campaign metrics
At the top, you'll see aggregate metrics: total campaigns sent, total recipients across all campaigns, overall open rate, and overall click rate. These give you a quick snapshot of your email marketing health.
Analyze individual campaigns
Below the aggregate metrics, each campaign is broken down with its own performance data. A pie chart shows the distribution between unopened, opened, and clicked for each campaign. Use the campaign selector to dive deep into any specific campaign's results.
Compare open rates across campaigns to identify what subject lines work best. Compare click rates to see which content drives the most action. These patterns will make every future campaign more effective.
